I would have to say that traveling has to be one of my most favorite things to do. Its funny because I think everyone has the same passion, who doesnt want to see new things, taste new foods and experiencing new cultures. I wish I could be one of those people that could say that some of the places I have traveled were Italy, Spain, Greece, but I alas have not yet been so blessed (one days kids, one day). 
However I have been to quite a few places and different countries though I can honestly say the place I am going to list today is a place not to far from where I currently live now.
Manitou Springs, Colorado, its a gorgeous little town nestled close to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Never have I ever been to sleepy little town with so much to see. In it you find quaint little shops and friendly people. One thing I will not forget about Manitou Springs was the old classic Carousel mid town and the old arcade....just too cute. And I can say that I had the best deli sandwich ever at a little local German Resturant. Any time I travel into Colorado though, I feel like I am home. It is my dream state to live in, One day guys, one day. Hats off to you Manitou Springs, you are a hidden gem.

ReplyDeleteMy grandparents are from Colorado Springs, and I have fond memories of Manitou Springs growing up. We would travel through there on our way to Garden of the Gods, and the zoo there is gorgeous!
It also happens to be where my husband and I took one of our first trips together after we started dating. It was such a romantic weekend, and we spent at least one day walking around looking at all the artisan shopes. I haven't been back since my grandparents died, but I have a renewed sense of going back after reading this blog....:o)
